  1.   The Edmonton Oilers are struggling of late to score so when that happens the lines change.  That’s just the way things go.  Critique all you want but they’ll change again in a week and then again the week after.  It is kind of pointless to say you like thus guy with that guy or you don’t like the look of this line…  Sure it is fun to do but just leave it alone.  They know a hell of  a lot more than us and lines always change.
  2.  The Oilers need a big win tonight.  They need to turn the tide and get winning again.  They can’t lose against the lowly Coyotes.
  3. Just let Cam Talbot play until he can’t play anymore.  He says he wants to play and clearly the back up sucks so just run with him.  The Oilers aren’t winning the Cup this year anyways so get in the playoffs and let the team learn what it is like.  Maybe just maybe they can win a few games or even a round but Talbot will be what he has always been… a solid NHL goalie regardless if he gets a few nights off the rest of the regular season.
  4. The Oilers are struggling to score so regardless how the coaches mix up the top six nothing will change until Eberle, Lucic and Nuge pull up their big boy pants and start producing.  This team will be a one line team until that happens.
  5. The only change to the powerplay lines was Klefbom is now replacing Sekera on the backend.  Neither are great options in my opinion but if it is not working change is good.
  6. The games now are getting tighter and have more of a playoff feel so I believe the longer the season goes the better the team will get.  The Oilers are a big team now and this should bode well for them.
  7. It is a long season and there will be ups and downs over the course of the year so I’m not too concerned that the team is in a funk.  They’ll get out of it soon enough and then they’ll probably go on a bit of a run in the near future.  I’m sure they’ll have another losing streak before seasons end as well.
  8. The team could go 500 the rest of the way and most likely make the playoffs so I’m good with that.  The last time I saw a playoff game I had no grey hair, no kids and no belly so I couldn’t care how they get in  Just get in!
  9. The Oilers are making the playoffs!!!
  10. That’s right…It is happening…The Oilers are making the playoffs!!!
